Mrs. Nice Girl
german only | 5 (45%) |
english only | 1 (9%) |
german and english | 5 (45%) |
(Stimmen insgesamt: 11 )
Here is an outfit from last week, which I photos of after work. Really Mrs. Nice Girl, but with many accessoires as you're used to on my overdressed blog.
College started again and we had a workshop this whole week from 10:00 to 19:30. I will post about that once I have all the photos from the presentation together. My schedule is really loose this semester. This will change in 3rd semester, but till them I'll have enough time to realize my own projects.
As I am already talking about projects: Lynn from Pretty Mess published the photos of our project. You can see her pictures Here.
My survey is over and this are the results:
(Should is write in:)german only | 5 (45%) |
english only | 1 (9%) |
german and english | 5 (45%) |
I conclude, that's the best if I continue writing german and try to translate into English as often as I can because the translator tools are not so correct.

OH JUST FCK IT!
Seems that I around autumn get this urge to rationalize my wardrobe, get a few pieces that goes with everything and at any place while I want to get rid of all that that has no absolute meaning or serve any specific purpose in my wardrobe. (Yeah, good luck). Sitting here at work writing down what I would need and what needs to go or be replaced in smarter way (read: how can I justify getting these certain things) on small post-it's here in between the ships, while also browsing those dangerous sites I keep on visiting although I should know better it struck me: who am I kidding?
I do this every year.
My wardrobe is still not that much more functional than it was last year and will never be perfect (although it is very nice).
I mean how could I possibly claim that the Trashy Diva leopard mid season jacket I just ordered serves any important function to me living in a country when such jackets can be worn about four months a year divided in two month-periods? When I already have as many mid-season jackets as there are weeks per mid season (sort of)? That I had any important reason to buy it? Time to admit: I may get annoyed on the fact that it is considered normal to just buy buy and buy for the fun of it,to get something new every month (or week!), regardless weather it is vintage or brand new (I'm not thinking in terms of ecology or such, but in material). But I do it myself. A lot. Hehe.
So cut the crap, I need a pinafore skirt.
In green I think; the only question is: pencil or A-line?
Vivien of Holloway or Nudeedudee?

Matt's Golden Silence
I met Matt one afternoon as he stood among the masses at the southwest corner of Madison Square Garden, waiting for a bus out of town.
This is his tattoo which he shared with us, covering his upper right arm:
The message is simple: silence is golden. I love how the side skulls spill off of the front skull, and how the teeth of the primary jaw are fused together.
Matt attributes this piece to "deep life experiences" and how it serves as a reminder to keep his head on straight.
He told me he's "been low and wants to stay higher" and that "keeping what I've done to myself has given me the ability to achieve what I have in life".
This tattoo was inked by Loki M. LaChapelle when he was at Kaleidoscope Tattoo & Art Gallery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Loki now works out of Mazel Custom Tattoo & Piercing in Everett, Massachusetts.
Thanks to Matt for sharing his tattoo with us here on Tattoosday!

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW (+ ONE FIFTH THING)
Pretty carnations against my soft pink kitchen walls.
Bread with butter and a whole lot of garlic plus apples from the farm. Life is too short and baked goods too great to ever even consider giving up carbs (which are healthy btw), bah!
The high heeled vintage brogues I mentioned earlier. Another case of The Lazy Thrifter Get's Lucky; they were brought to me, didn't have to lift a finger.
Wall paper from PiP Studio that will soon be on a door here at home!
+ that fitfh little extra thingie; the Playful Promises give-away has ended and the lucky winner was Maarikki!
however, the rest of you still have a chance to buy your favorite Playful Promises items (and anything else on the site too of course) with a discount of 20%, as the discount is extended until Friday October 1st! So hurry up! Use the code fashion.

Jessica Lange Tattoo
Jessica Lange is a sensationally talented American stage and film actress, featured in such movies as Tootsie, Blue Sky and King Kong.
Jessica Lange has a Celtic knot tattoo on the outer portion of her left wrist, which was influenced by her daughter while in Paris. She has been quoted as saying...
"She conned me into doing it. She said, 'Mom, let's go and get a tattoo together that will connect us forever,' but I think it was just a way for her to get a tattoo, but I bought into it. She was underage."
Jessica Lange has also said she has a crescent moon tattoo located on her hip, which she also received in Paris France, at the age of nineteen.
